Yemenis have held an event in front of the al-Salah al-Kubra community hall in Yemen's capital Sana'a to commemorate the fifth anniversary of a massacre committed by the Saudi-led coalition in 2016.
Participants condemned the international silence toward this brutal crime, saying when it comes to Yemen, the West continues to show its double standards.
On October 8, 2016, Saudi warplanes targeted the al-Salah al-Kubra community hall in Sana'a with at least two air-dropped munitions during a funeral ceremony. Over 140 people were killed and more than 600 others were injured in the attack, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
People say the bombing of the funeral ceremony at the al-Salah al-Kubra community hall revealed the brutality of the Saudi-led coalition against Yemenis. They say Riyadh's crimes will never be forgotten and Saudi Arabia should be brought to justice for its crimes.
