A British Muslim psychologist has spoken out following a brutal two-year battle to clear her name.
Dr. Kate Godfrey-Faussett claims to have been the victim of an Islamophobic witch hunt after voicing her professional concerns over the compulsory relationship and sex education lessons, or RSE, in public schools.
Dr. Kate came under immense mainstream media attack in 2019 over comments she made against RSE at Muslim public events.
Swiftly afterwards, the Dr was suspended without pay and subject to investigation by The British Psychological Society and The Health and Care Tribunal.
The RSE lessons, introduced to the curriculum in early 2020, have been condemned by religious groups as "indoctrination" of children into a secular view of relationships.
And teaches children concepts which undermine their religious beliefs.
Dr Kate has won but at a great cost. The damage to her health, image and finances has been severe. But she isn't the only one to express grave concern over these lessons.
In 2019, a Muslim parent protest movement rocked the headlines condemning similar same sex marriage relationship lessons, while several Jewish faith schools have openly refused to adopt RSE lessons at all. Putting the government in an awkward position of revoking religious freedoms.
