The draw for the 2021 AFC Champions League knockout stage has been made, and Iran’s sole representative Persepolis have got to know their quarterfinal opponents.
In the West Zone quarter-finals, UAE's Al Wahda will take on Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr while 2-time runners-up Persepolis will lock horns with 2019 champions Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia. In the East zone, defending champions Ulsan Hyundai meet Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in an all-South Korean affair, while a third side from the country, Pohang Steelers will face Japan's Nagoya Grampus in the last 8.
These matches will be played in a centralized single-legged format on October 16th and 17th, with Saudi Arabia hosting the west region and South Korea, the East. Moreover, the semi-finals are scheduled for October 19th and 20th, and the final, which will be staged in Saudi Arabia, is on November 23rd.
