Bayern Munich have smashed RB Leipzig 4-1 at the Red Bull Arena.

Robert Lewandowski put the visitors in front after converting a VAR awarded penalty in the 15th minute.

The Bavarian doubled the lead just 2 minutes after the break when Jamal Musiala netted the ball with a precise shot.

Leroy Sane killed off the contest with a first time shot from a cross by Musiala in the 54th minute.

But 4 minutes later, the hosts pulled one back when Konrad Laimer scored with a great stunner from 25 yards out.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting completed the rout for Bayern with a calm finish in stoppage time.

The victory became a good preparation for Munich as they start their Champions League campaign against Barcelona on Tuesday.
