Tokyo Paralympics: Pourrahnama wins silver at Taekwondo
In Taekwondo’s debut at the Paralympics, 4-time world champion Mehdi Pourrahnama secured Iran’s 9th silver of the Games, after going down 26-20 to Garcia Lopez of Mexico in the final of the minus 75 kg K-44 class.
The bronze was jointly shared by two taekwondokas from South Korea and Argentina. Iran is now 13th in the medals table with a tally of 20 medals.
