While the new educational year has started in the Gaza Strip, the 9-year-old Mohammad Sha'ban can't get back to school as he has lost his sight in an Israeli airstrike in Beit Lahia during the latest escalation by Israel.
Mohammad was with his mother buying clothes when the Israeli airplanes hit them causing his sight loss. He was supposed to return to school, and buy a uniform like other children but due to his injury he is not attending the new semester as he needs special care.
More than 200 people were killed, including children and women. Hundreds of children were injured, including many who have lost their body organs amid the silence of the international community.
