Britain is home to one of the largest Kashmiri communities in Europe, so it is no surprise that many turned out across the country to protest against India's removal of the region's semi-autonomous status. The controversial move occurred on August 5 two years ago, but anger still remains with accusation of horrendous human rights abuses still being uncovered.
August 5 marks the day when India removed the semi-autonomous status of Indian administered chunk of the Muslim-majority region.
Other accusations standing against India include banning of Muslim religious practices and attempts to introduce Hindu migration to further erode Muslims ability to resist Indian domination.
The truth is hard to establish given India's reluctance to allow journalists freedom to work on the area.
