Over tennis news, top seed Novak Djokovic has eased into the 3rd round of Wimbledon, after dispatching big serving Kevin Anderson, in straight sets.
The Serbinator, who is bidding for a 6th Wimbledon and record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title, was Imperious during a grass court masterclass on Centre Court. Djokovic broke the South African's serve once in each of the 3 sets, and conceded only 6 unforced errors, to wrap up the match with a triple 6-3s. The World No.1 will next take on Denis Kudla in the last 16.
Meanwhile, in a match which was held over from Tuesday due to curfew rules in London, Nick Kyrgios completed a 3 sets to 2 victory over Ugo Humbert to advance into the 2nd round.
The action resumed at 3-apiece in the decider, with both players performing well on their serves, until Frenchman Humbert, winner of Halle Open this month, blinked at 7-apiece, before handing the victory to Kyrgios in the next game. The Australian will next meet Gianluca Mager of Italy in Round 2.
Number 16 seed Felix Auger Aliassime has booked a place in the 2nd round of the event by dispatching Brazil's Thiago Monteiro in three sets of 6-3. Aliassime will next face Mikael Ymer. The young Swede fought back from two sets to one to overcome his better known rival, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.
