Voting has been underway nationwide in Iran’s 2021 presidential election. Over 59.3 million Iranians are eligible to vote for one of four candidates, namely, and in alphabetical order, Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh-Hashemi, Nasser Hemmati, Ebrahim Raiesi, and Mohsen Rezaei.

According to a study of the most credible polls by Press TV, Raeisi, a Principlist who is running independently, has by far the highest chance of winning, and the margin with the second candidate is simply wide. But nowhere in the world are elections easily predictable. So please follow the voting, as it happens, here on this page.

Voters have had plenty of opportunities to inform themselves. They have watched three presidential debates, and have had access to much campaigning content by individual candidates, in the run-up to the election. You can read about the third debate in Iran’s 2021 presidential election here, about the second here, and the first here.

Round-the-clock updates on the election results will appear here as they are made available by the Iranian Interior Ministry.
