Manchester City have claimed the EFL Cup for the fourth time in a row after edging past Tottenham Hotspur 1-nil at Wembley Stadium in front of 8,000 supporters.
The Sky Blues had to wait until the 82nd minute when Aymeric Laporte headed the ball home from a free kick by Kevin De Broyne.
With the victory, Pep Guardiola’s men boosted their hopes of a treble.
They currently top the Premier League by 10 points, and are in the semifinals of the Champions League where they will meet Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg on Tuesday.
