Lionel Messi’s double has helped Barcelona in defeating Getafe 5-2 at Camp Nou.
Messi needed only eight minutes to put his side ahead with a stunning finish after a great solo run.
But in less than five minutes, Clement Lenglet of Barcelona put the ball into his own net and leveled the match.
And then, another own goal in the 28th minute, this time by Sofian Chakla from Getafe, changed the game flow and put Barcelona ahead once again.
Just five minutes later, captain Lionel Messi pounced on a rebound inside the box and made it 3-1.
In the second half, Enes Unal of Getafe won the battle of wills in the 69th minute to send an unstoppable penalty past Marc-Andre ter Stegen and pulled one back for the guest side.
Barca’s scoring engine seemed unstoppable as Ronald Araujo scored the 4th via heading home a corner kick in the 87th minute just before Antoine Griezmann converting from the spot in the injury times to wrap the game up 5-2.
