NBA: Washington Wizards 87-109 Dallas Mavericks

Over the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks have overcome the Washington Wizards 109 to 87 for their 4th straight road victory.

The visiting Mavs started on the front-foot taking the opener 24 to 19 and the 5-point advantage remained unchanged at half-time as the 2 sides scored 28 points each in the 2nd quarter. Dallas came out firing after the break and claimed the next 2 quarters to hand Washington their 3rd successive loss. Luka Donchich had 26 points for the Mavericks, while Russell Westbrook finished with 26 in the losing effort.

Meanwhile the New York Knicks thrashed the Pistons 125 to 81 in Detroit. The Knicks scored the first 14 points of the game and cruised to a 41 to 15 lead after a quarter of play. New York held on in the 2nd to take a 26-point advantage into the break and that was more than enough of a cushion to propel them to an overall victory.

Julius Randle poured in 29 points to help the Knicks snap a 3-game losing streak. In the other matches on Saturday Night, the 6ers, the Heat, the Pacers, the Jazz, the Blazers and the Bucks beat their opponents.
