Less than five percent of the population in the European Union has been fully vaccinated for COVID-19. A top EU official has blamed pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca for the damage done to the bloc’s reputation.
Legislators from across the EU's 27 countries say citizens' patience has run out as hundreds-of-millions wait to be called for a COVID-19 vaccine. AstraZeneca is to deliver 170 million fewer doses than promised during the next three months.
