The Yemeni army has launched a new retaliatory attack against the Saudi oil giant Aramco. The attack aims to inflict damage on the Saudi economy to force Riyadh to stop its deadly war on its southern neighbor.

"The Sixth of Shaban" is the title of the latest retaliatory attack carried out by the Yemeni army against one of Aramco oil sites in the Saudi capital Riyadh using drones. The Yemeni army says the operation comes in response to the Saudi continued deadly aggression.

The Saudi regime confirmed the attack, saying it has caused a fire in the oil refinery in Riyadh and it was controlled. Observers say the Yemeni army should continue such attacks to deal heavier damage to the Saudi economy.

For six years now, Yemenis have been under a devastating war imposed by Saudi Arabia and its allies that caused the death of tens of thousands of people, many of them are women and children. Riyadh has also forced an all-out blockade on Yemen, which has caused more deaths than weapons had.

Yemenis say their army has the right to continue targeting Saudi facilities until Riyadh stops its years-long war and siege against them, and releases the illegally detained oil ships.
