Thousands of cancer patients in Yemen are in dire need of help. Yemen's national center for blood transfusion and research says the blood stocks and components of concentrated red cells, fresh frozen plasma, and platelets cannot be reserved anymore due to the lack of fuel.

The center provides services to hundreds of kidney failure and cancer patients including children with leukemia, who depend on the center to obtain the necessary substances to survive.

Yemenis are suffering from fuel shortage due to the continued detention of 14 petrol ships by the Saudi-led coalition. The fuel crisis is threatening the closure of over 1500 health facilities around the country.

International aid organizations and watchdogs have warned that the lives of millions of people in Yemen are in danger due to the all-out blockade imposed on the country by Saudi Arabia and its allies. The international community has so far failed to take action and stop Riyadh from committing war crimes.
