The Islamic Movement of Nigeria has in a ceremony commemorated Iran's General Qassem Soleimani on the first anniversary of his assassination by the US government.
The Islamic Movement described the US assassination of Soleimani as a war crime, adding that those who carried out the murder must be held to account.
Various speakers delivered lectures at the event, during which they hailed General Soleimani's role as a strong defender of the Palestinian resistance against the Zionist occupation as well as his contribution to the elimination of Daesh terrorists.
The speakers described Soleimani as a champion of inter-religious harmony -- a commander who contributed to saving millions of innocent lives and brought honor and dignity to the Muslim Ummah.
