Daniil Medvedev has won the 2020 ATP Finals thanks to a 2-sets-to-1 victory over US Open champion Dominic Thiem.

Medvedev lost the opening set, after a fortunate net cord earned Thiem a 6-4 win.

The second set came down to a tie-break and the Russian who had never won a breaker against Thiem, rallied from 2-love down to claim the set with 7 points in a row.

Medvedev upped his pace in the decider and broke Thiem in the 5th game, and then served out at 6-4 to cap a brilliant week in which he beat all 3 reigning Grand Slam champions to win the biggest tournament of his career.

The final was the last match played during the event's long tenure in London before it moves to Turin next year.
