US President Donald Trump has criticized Fox News over its coverage of a rally by former President Barack Obama.
"I only saw he was on Fox. And Fox puts him on all the time, and they put sleepy Joe on all the time," Trump said ahead of his own rally in Michigan on Tuesday. "What they should do is they should show the picture of sleepy Joe yesterday when he rushed to Pennsylvania because he saw that I had 25,000 people at each event."
Trump has been recently lashing out at Fox News, which he regularly watches, although it has been his favorite since he assumed office in 2017.
"Fox, Fox is very disappointing. ... This would not have happened with Roger Ailes, I can tell you that," Trump added, referring to the former chairman of Fox News who resigned in 2016 amid sexual misconduct allegations and died in 2017.
The president also complained in a tweet that, “the biggest difference between now and 2016 is @FoxNews. They are a whole different deal… Despite this, our campaign is doing much better, with bigger crowds and even more (much!) enthusiasm, than we had in 2016. Big Debate & SCOTUS Win! Real Polls have us winning everywhere!"
Obama has been bringing up the low TV ratings that Trump has had and how it would upset him.
"[Trump] hasn't shown any interest in doing the work, or helping anybody but himself and his friends, or treating the presidency like a reality show that he can use to get attention," Obama said at a rally last week. "And by the way, even then, his TV ratings are down. So you know that upsets him."
"But the thing is this is not a reality show. This is reality, and the rest of us have had to live with the consequences of him, proving himself incapable of taking the job seriously," he added.
