Palestinians continue to express solidarity with Maher Akhras, who entered his fourth month of hunger strike in Israeli custody in protest against his administrative detention.
During a sit-in, Palestinians in Gaza City demanded the immediate release of Akhras.
Israeli forces detained Akhras on July 27.
The Israeli regime is reportedly holding about 5,000 Palestinians in its prisons, many of whom being administrative detainees.
Akhras has been in hospital since September 6 and his health is rapidly deteriorating. Palestinians have warned that his death is imminent.
During the sit-in, the Islamic Jihad movement said Arab countries normalizing relations with Israel are encouraging Tel Aviv to violate the rights of Palestinians.
