US Vice President Mike Pence is a “loyal foot soldier in the army of neo-fascist, anti-science, Christian fanatic, white supremacist followers of Donald Trump,” according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.

Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Thursday after Pence praised President Donald Trump over his response to the coronavirus pandemic, saying that things could have been worse.

Speaking at a Make America Great Again event in Gilford on Tuesday, Pence sent his condolences to the victims of coronavirus and their families and called the new record of coronavirus-related deaths a “heartbreaking milestone."

“There’s not a day gone by that I haven’t thought of families that have lost loved ones in the midst of this pandemic. Know that you’ve always been in our hearts and you’ll remain in our prayers,” he said.

Hoenig said, “Of course Mike Pence would be praising President Trump’s response to the coronavirus epidemic. He’s a loyal foot soldier in the army of neo-fascist, anti-science, Christian fanatic, white supremacist followers of Donald Trump, willing to be goose stepped into the grave. At what point does the number of fatalities, or murders, stop making a difference? Is this country following Stalin’s apocryphal quote of ‘the death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic’? We’ve reached 200,000. When will it no longer make a difference?”

“It won’t be long after Trump is gone that the overall consensus will be that his actions were based primarily on how it would affect him. He minimized the danger when he knew what it was. He slowed down testing in order to reduce the numbers of cases identified. He advocated dangerous behavior in order to minimize a panic. He encouraged mass contagion with his rallies. And he encourages irresponsible and murderous behavior among his flock by ignoring basic safety precautions. The highest spikes now are in most states that kowtowed to his demagoguery, including spikes in S. Dakota due to the Sturgis motorcycle rally, with surges happening elsewhere with other such rallies,” he said.

“There is no question that Trump and Pence, who heads his task force on the epidemic, are guilty of murder in whatever degree the state can prove. It wasn’t negligence but outright indifference, as well as encouraging it. It’s not like he simply yelled ‘Fire’ in a dark theatre. He’s actually setting the fire in the theatre,” he added.

“Of course if he should lose re-election and actually leaves the scene, that will be the end of it. A Biden administration will try and look forward, just as Obama forgave the mass murderers of the previous administration as it took us into an aggressive war in Iraq and throughout the region. History, though, will not be kind at all and Trump will go down as the biggest mass murderer of Americans we’ve ever had,” he concluded.
