Tyler Herro, the new Hero in town, has scored a historic 37 points and guided the Heat to a 112 to 109 victory over the Boston Celtics with a 3-1 series lead, putting Miami just one win away from the NBA Finals.
After trailing by as many as 6 points at the intermission, the Celtics closed it to within just a single point by the end of the 3rd quarter. But after a flurry from 20-year old Herro, who tallied 37 points, Miami grabbed the momentum in the 4th and ran away to seal the victory.
The 37 points were not only a career-high for Herro, but also a franchise record for a Rookie Reserve in a regular season or playoff game.
With the result, the Heat improved to an NBA-best 11 to 2 playoff record and now have a chance to punch their finals ticket in Game 5 on Friday.
