Germany’s RB Leipzig have secured their ticket to the Champions League semi-finals, after defeating Atletico Madrid 2-1 in Lisbon.
Leipzig took the lead 50 minutes into the match as Dani Olmo headed the ball home from the close range.
Atletico pulled one back in the 71st minute as substitute Joao Felix scored the equalizer from the spot.
But Leipzig piled on the pressure and finally found the winner as American Taylor Adams fired the ball home with just two minutes remaining.
Leipzig will play their first ever Champions League semis, which will be against Paris St. Germain next Tuesday.
As for Atletico, they now have a month to rest before they’re back in action in the League in mid-September.
