Over football news in Spanish club, Sevilla have booked a place in the Europa League semi-finals after edging past English club Wolverhampton 1-nil.
Wolverhampton had a glorious early chance to take the lead inside 13 minutes, but Raul Jimenez's penalty was saved.
The match was appeared to be a goalless draw in the regulation time, but the 5-time Europa League Champions, Sevilla enjoyed a chance with 2 minutes remaining when Argentina midfielder Lucas Ocampos scored with a wonderful header from Banega’s cross.
With the result, Wolves' Europa League dream came to a heartbreaking end, and they will not be in European competition next season, after finishing seventh in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian club Shakhtar easily sealed a place in the Europa League Semi-finals, after routing Swiss FC Basel. Two goals from Junior Moraes and Taison gave the 2009 UEFA Cup winner 2-nil lead in the 1st half.
Shakhtar, then, found their rhythm again in the last 15 minutes, as they scored 2 more goals to put the match out of reach for Basel, before the Swiss club scored the consolation in the dying moments.
