Formula One defending champion Lewis Hamilton has won the Hungarian Grand Prix with a dominant performance.
The Briton started from pole and quickly surged into a comfortable lead in the early laps to register his 2nd victory in 3 races of the new season after 1 hour 36 minutes and 12 seconds.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen crossed the finish line 8.7 seconds behind the leader and the other Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas finished 3rd .
Hamilton managed to register his 8th Hungarian Grand Prix victory to tie with F1 legend, Michael Schumacher’s record for the most number of wins at a single venue.
With the result, Hamilton sits at the top of the standings with 63 points while Bottas and Verstappen are 2nd and 3rd respectively with 58 and 33 points.
