The UK, for all its economic flaws, does have one thing going for it as things stand, namely one of the worlds busiest and well established airport hubs in the world: London Heathrow Airport. But the usual hustle and bustle of the lounges, gates and check in desks is currently undergoing a major downturn, much like the rest of the worlds airports. Passenger numbers have plummeted by 97%, from a previous average of 250,000 passengers a day, down to around 5,000.
