Iran’s defense ministry has delivered eight military aircraft of different types fully overhauled and re-equipped to the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The overhauled aircraft are of types F4, F14 and F27, Sokho, Miraj and C-130 plane. The overhaul of such aircraft has saved the country millions of dollars and reduced the costs by 50% compared to global end prices
Only a handful of countries have the technology to overhaul such aircraft. The overhauled aircraft can be used for combat, tactical and transportation operations.
Iran Aircraft Industries (SAHA) is among the rare centers in the world which can overhaul and inspect different types of airplanes and engines of military and cargo planes.
The overhauled aircraft successfully ran through final flight tests, and joined the operational fleet of the Army’s air force. Iran has reached self sufficiency in overhauling and maintaining different aircraft and enjoy the capability to render services to regional states.
