The Yemeni capital hosted an exhibition aimed at honoring those who’ve lost their lives in the fight against the Saudi-led aggression on the occasion of Yemen’s Martyrs Day.

The event was also held to commemorate top Iranian commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his companions in Iraq forty days after they were assassinated by the US.

Organizers said they sought to draw attention to sacrifices made by all resistance fighters as well as General Soliemani who played a major role in defeating Daesh and foiling US-Israeli plots in the region.

Participants at the ceremony highlighted the importance of unity among resistance groups in the face of the aggression and oppression. They stressed that Washington's war crimes against Muslims and Riyadh's crimes will not pass unpunished.

The war, which started in March 2015, has killed thousands of Yemenis, most of them civilians. It has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories. The United Nations says over 24 million Yemenis are in dire need of humanitarian aid, including 10 million suffering from extreme levels of hunger.

Yemenis say they will never forget the sacrifices made by those who stood up to the foreign aggression and defended their country to their last breath.
