For the third straight day, Palestinians in the occupied West bank held protests against the so-called deal of the century which was released by US President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Hundreds of Palestinians, upon a call from Fatah movement and different other factions, marched toward the Israeli military checkpoint of Beit El in northern Ramallah, to express their outrage and rejection of the American deal, stressing that the plan will fail.
Palestinians say they will not give up their rights and will never surrender to the American and Israeli dictations. They say they will continue holding protests to show Palestinians will never accept any deal put forward by Trump, and would do everything in their power to stop his vision from becoming a reality.
Clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians erupted even before the protesters reached the Israelis military checkpoint. Israeli used tear gas, stun grenades and even water cannons spraying “skunk” to disperse the protesters. Youths meanwhile threw stones and burnt tires. According to paramedics some 20 people were wounded.
Tensions have been running high in the occupied Palestinian territories since the unveiling of the so-called US deal of the century. Despite the increase of Israeli military's violence, Palestinians insist to continue their struggle against Israel and also against the US plan.
