UK media accused of lying amid Iran tensions

The UK has continued to stand by the US, defending their anti-Iran actions in the Middle East region. The British position was reemphasized by British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Wednesday.

The UK government has been condemned for its willingness to back US adventurism in the Middle East but also British mainstream media has once again come under the spotlight for questionable coverage of the rising tensions between Iran and the US.

This week, the Iranian Ambassador to the UK, Hamid Baeidinejad, has named and shamed, both a British Newspaper and a media channel for spreading 'vicious lies' and 'false propaganda at a sensitive time'.

Western media has been condemned in the past for their biased coverage ahead of the British and American invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003.

Despite the efforts of some Mainstream media to affect public opinion on war, the British public remained largely against war in 2003. Now, it seems, once again, the public are against further Western escalation.

With so much at stake, it is vital that the journalistic world reports only facts and scrutinizes political leaders for reckless and illegal actions. So far, Western Mainstream Media platforms appear to be letting the British public down once again.
