Tottenham Hotspur have come from behind at home to beat Brighton 2-1 on Boxing Day in the English Premier League.

24 minutes into play, and captain Harry Kane thought he had put Tottenham in front, but a VAR review proved otherwise, as the England forward was marginally offside.

Defender Adam Webster then headed Brighton ahead on 37 minutes, from a well taken free-kick.

Tottenham leveled the score after the break, as Kane’s effort  counted this time. His initial shot was deflected by the keeper, but it bounced straight back to Kane, who made no mistake to dispatch a half volley into the bottom corner.

The hosts pushed for a winner, and 18 minutes from time, they found one, as Dele Alli lifted a first-time finish over the keeper, to revive Tottenham's top-four aspirations.
