The World Anti-Doping Agency, WADA, has recommended that Russia be hit with a 4-year ban from all world championships, for the manipulation of data retrieved from Moscow.

In a 26-page report by WADA's independent compliance review committee, which was published late Monday, said the Russian Anti-Doping Agency should be declared non-compliant, after an investigation found the data handed over from a tainted Moscow laboratory was neither complete nor fully authentic.

A four-year ban would prevent Russia from taking part in next year's Tokyo Olympics, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Games. The CRC recommendation will be put to the executive committee at meetings in Paris on the 9th of December.

However, FIFA announced on Tuesday, that Russia will be allowed to compete at the Euro 2020, despite a potential 4-year ban. Football's governing body added that they will make the final decision after the final consideration of WADA on this issue.
