Mathew Kipkoech Kisorio of Kenya has won the Beijing Marathon, while setting a new course record.
The Kenyan who led alone in the last 10 kilometers of the event, clocked 2 hours, 7 minutes and 6 seconds at the 2019 Beijing Marathon on Sunday. He managed to cut 10 seconds off the course record, which was set 6 years ago, by Tadese Tola of Ethiopia. His compatriots Solomon Kirwa Yego and Emmanuel Rutto Naibei finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, for a Kenya 1-2-3.
