Over Motorsports,Toyota’s Ott tanak has sealed his maiden World Rally Championship Title, despite finishing 2nd on the final day of the rally of Spain.
The Estonian driver claimed the points needed to seal the crown with 1 rally in Australia still to go. Meanwhile, Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville finished the final day of the event after clocking 3 hours 7 minutes and 39 seconds ahead of Tanak and another Hyundai driver Dani Sordo finished 3rd.
Tanak's success ended a 15 year domination by French drivers, with Sebastien Loeb winning 9 in a row and Sebastien Ogier taking 6 successive titles.
