Migrants found dead in a lorry in UK identified as Chinese nationals

Britain is still reeling in shock at the news that 39 Chinese nationals died in the most horrific circumstances in the back of a lorry in Southeast England , in what appears to be an attempt to enter the country most likely in search of a better life.

The public and the political class have expressed revulsion at the tragedy while the incident itself which is still being investigated has once again ignited conversations about migration, border controls people trafficking amid an ever worrying atmosphere of anti migrant sentiment which has been on the rise in the UK for many years.

As discussions look set to continue on how to avoid such needless tragedies, far right demagogues like Katie Hopkins, predictably used the incident to peddle far right dog whistle politics which has become ever more prevalent in today's cultural discourse in Britain.

The fate of 39 Chinese migrants who were found dead in a truck container in southeast England on Wednesday has once again brought the migrant crisis to the center of attention.

Whatever the reality of the situation migrants in Britain and those trying to make their way there often face perilous circumstances and ultimately a hostile environment in the United Kingdom provided with no proper security.
