Former world number one Andy Murray, has started the Shanghai Masters with a 2-sets-to-1 victory over Juan Ignacio Londero of Argentina.
Murray, who has been trying to return to top-level after 2 surgeries, started on the back-foot and handed over the opener 6-2.
But, the 2016 Wimbledon Champion and the Rio Olympics gold medalist, came from behind and won the 2nd set 6-2, to send the match to the decider, where the Brit managed to beat Londero 6-3, to end the contest in 2 hours and 18 minutes.
Murray will next meet world no.12, Fabio Fognini, who advanced to 2nd round after a straight sets victory over America’s Sam Querrey.
