The defending champions Bayern Munich have suffered their first Bundesliga defeat of the season, going down 2-1 against Hoffenheim at home.

Hoffenheim broke the deadlock after the break, when Sargis Adamyan lashed the ball into the bottom corner from close range in the 53rd minute.

Robert Lewandowski headed the ball home to level the match for the Bavarians in the 72nd minute, scoring his 15th goal in seven matches.

But it did not last long, as Armenian International, Adamyan, struck again in the 79th minute to cap off a memorable night for Hoffenheim.

Despite the 2-1 loss, Bayern stay at the top of the Bundesliga only on goal difference, as Freiburg, RB Leipzig, Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen also have 14 points.
