Liverpool have maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season, after earning a 2-1 home victory over Leicester City, thanks to a stoppage-time penalty.
Liverpool initially struggled to break down a resilient Leicester side, but Sadio Mane slotted home a great over-head through-ball in the 40th minute to break the deadlock for the hosts.
Chances for Liverpool to double their advantage came and went, and they paid the price when James Madison grabbed the equalizer for Leicester with 10 minutes left.
However, the drama was not over, as Sadio Mane was brought down in the box in the 93rd minute, and James Milner converted the penalty for Liverpool’s 8th win of the season.
The Merseyside Reds are now 8 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the standings, while Leicester are 3rd with 14 points.
