The Philadelphia Flyers have edged the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in their season opening of the 2019 National Hockey League.
The match finished 3-2 at the end of the second period. Then Michael Raffi netted the puck for the Flyers to make it 4-2 in the final frame. But, Alex DeBrincat cut the deficit for the Blackhawks, which was not enough, and the Flyers registered their first victory in the new season.
Philadelphia hosting New Jersey on the 9th of October and the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the San Jose Sharks a day later.
