Trump's impeachment inquiry gains momentum

US President Donald Trump is facing an impeachment inquiry after reports emerged that he had pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into former Vice President Joe Biden and had temporarily held up aid for the country over the summer.

Trump has rejected the accusation, saying he held up the aid because he wanted other countries to pay for Ukraine’s defense. But Democrats argue that Trump was trying to seek help from a foreign power against his political rival in 2020 elections.
