US President Donald Trump always strikes a triumphant tone when talking about the economic performance of his administration.

Well, he may have good reason to do that: America’s official unemployment and poverty rates are currently at record lows. And the US economy has expanded steadily. Trump is using this as a platform to improve his chances of re-election. But has the economic growth benefitted all Americans equally? This week, new data from the US Census Bureau revealed that America has become the developed world’s most unequal country.
