Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro have skipped the annual United Nations General Assembly to hold talks in Moscow.

The two leaders met this week as Putin reiterated his support for Maduro's government.  

Venezuela has been caught in a deep political crisis since January.
