Exit polls and early results from Israels election indicate no contender has a clear path to form a ruling coalition.
According to major Israeli media outlets, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus Likud Party and his opposition rival Benny Gantzs Blue and White Party are neck and neck, well short of a majority in the 120 seat Knesset. Despite this, Netanyahu and Gantz have both pledged to lead the next administration. It raises the prospects of lengthy negotiations with smaller parties to try and gain a parliamentary majority.
