The Syrian army has made major advances against foreign-backed militants in the south of Idlib, in an operation aimed at fully liberating the province.
The army forces dealt a heavy blow to the terrorists by reportedly capturing a strategically important town in the province and a small village near Khan Sheikhoun.
The army has been engaged in clashes with Nusra Front terrorists in the outskirts of Khan Sheikhoun for the past two days, forcing them to flee to the north.
Last week, The Syrian army recaptured four strategic villages in Idlib province from the terrorists.
