Following two months of violent protests, Hong Kong has reached a critical juncture. That’s according to Beijing which says the violence there must end.

China says a small minority of the demonstrators are resorting to dangerous methods when attacking police and that signs of terrorism are starting to emerge.

The remarks come as protesters occupied Hong Kong’s airport for several days, causing severe disruption to flights. According to reports in China, the country’s armed police force has assembled in the neighboring city of Shenzhen.
