At least six people have been killed as Nigerian police opened fire on protesters demanding the release of jailed top Muslim cleric Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky. Reports say Zakzaky’s health condition is getting worse and he needs immediate medical treatment. Nigerian authorities have not taken any action so far. Danjuma Abdullahi reports from Abuja.
