Rafael Nadal has secured his 12th French Open final, as the Spanish superstar swept-past Roger Federer in straight-sets.
The 39th edition of ‘’Nadal vs. Federer rivalry’’ kicked off in an undesirable weather conditions, but Nadal was firing on all cylinders from the onset, as he grabbed an early 3-love lead.
Federer, then put his foot down to break the Spaniard once, before Nadal quickly gave the Swiss Maestro a taste of his own medicine, and continued his supremacy to a 6-3 win.
Federer could’ve bounced back in the second, but lost a crucial serve in the 9th game, from where Nadal built on his 6-4 victory.
Empowered by the 2 sets to love lead, the King of Clay pulled off an immaculate display in the third, to take it 6-2, and reach the final in less than 2 and a half hours.
