This episode is a brief section of Javaid Siddiqi and Dr. Sameera Ahmeds speech at the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America 16th Annual Convention in Chicago.
Javaid Siddiqi urges for keeping those principles and values that Muslims stand for and showing who a Muslim is. He adds that we live in very uncertain times and we need to turn back to the sources of truth and that is the book of Allah and his messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
It is time that we unite hands and give the message of hope and unity to our brothers and sisters.
Dr. Sameera Ahmed emphasizes on the responsibility that Muslims have. As American Muslims now more than ever we need to help our nation. Use this convention to root ourselves intellectually and spiritually that we have the confidence, clarity, and energy for the tasks in hand.
We are gather here to learn how to actively engage and invite those around us. But do we have that relation? Do we have that connection with our neighbors, our co-workers? If we do, are we effectively influencing, informing and educating and loving them? We have a personal responsibility to shape our nation.
