Public outcry has continued to pour in from across the European continent over the arrest of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Lawmakers, politicians and fellow journalists have all begun pressuring the UK and the European Union to protect Assange’s rights as a journalist. Assange, who is credited with exposing war crimes and state secrets of the United States government now faces possible extradition to the US.
