Palestinian demonstrators returned to the Israel-Gaza border late on Sunday for night-time protests organized by the so-called "confusion units."
The demonstrators burnt tires and threw firebombs over the border fence, while Israeli soldiers responded with tear gas.
On Saturday, members of the "confusion units" released a statement saying that they would step up their activities by staging night protests during the coming week.
The move was taken after the deaths of two Palestinians shot by Israeli troops during border riots on Friday.
