On January 12, 2010, a terrorist attack in the Iranian capital Tehran shocked the whole country. Masoud Alimohammadi, an Iranian physicist, was assassinated by a remote-controlled bomb attached to a motorcycle outside his home.
November 29th of the same year had yet another terror shock for Iranians as an assassination attempt was made to kill two more nuclear scientists, Majid Shahriari and Fereydoon Abbasi, by attaching bombs to their cars.
